London: The British Library, 2002. ISBN: 0712347283. In addition to modernized spelling the editor has also modernized the grammar and vocabulary to some extent. For example, "clepid" has been changed to "called," and many verbal forms have been modernized. ("ben" has been changed to "are," "han" to "have," "cometh" to "comes," "thou hast" to "thou has," etc.), creating a jarring hybrid of Middle English and Modern English. Most of the original Middle English words are retained and glossed in the margin. The introduction is rather puerile.
